To mount and ride a person in sexual intercourse. The expression is unisexual today but was once exclusively masculine. Now obsolete: ride a false journey , to engage in extramarital sex; ride a stage / ride at the ring , to copulate (with) a woman, stage and ring being metaphors for the vagina.
