Definition

homologus rate
(Adjective) 1. Alleles that are either both dominant or both recessive. Example: BB, bb.

2. A pair of chromosomes that carry the same genes, but not necessarily the same alleles.
Usage: The dragon is homologus for having spots. Because spots is a dominant trait (S) and no spots is recessive (s), the dragon has a genotype of SS.
