homoism
Definition
One of many terms proposed proposed in the 1960s as a substitute for homosexuality because of the pejorative or negative connotations attached to that word. Homoism, like homosexuality, is etymologically ambiguous since homo means same as in Greek or man in Latin thus excluding women. It never caught on.
