Definitions
(Verb) to level an area of dirt, to change the elevation of an areaUsage: The contractor carelessly graded the field, leaving furrows and depressions across its expanse.
(Noun) An evaluation or rank
Usage: When you get your report card back for school, your grade is displayed in some form, whether it is a letter grade or the overall percentage you got in the class.
Degree of steepness
Usage: A VERY high grade means "approaching vertical."
