1. A painful testicular sensation felt when a man becomes sexually aroused repeatedly or persistently without release through ejaculation; the skin of the scrotum actually darkens to a purplish blue. This condition can also be caused by three or four ejaculations over a short period of time.

2. More rarely, a testicular swelling attributed to a venereal disease, especially gonorrhea.
