Kyogen
Definition
(Noun) The comic half of Noh theatre in Japan. Started by Zeami over 700 ears ago. There are now two schools, or discipline, tradition or Way. The schools are Izumi and Okura ryu. Noh theatre is the other half of the tradition and they are usually performed on the same day. Noh is god's relationship to man, tragic. Kyogen is man's relationship to god, humbling.
