Definition
(Noun) The 1991 U.S. attack on Iraq because of its invasion of Kuwait. Primarily military - America invaded, decisively won in days then promptly withdrew/didn't drive toward Baghdad/left Saddam Hussein in power.Usage: In the Gulf War, George H.W. Bush was president. In 2003-2011's Gulf War II/the Iraq War, George W. Bush, his son, was. America conquered Baghdad, hung around for years - and hanged Saddam Hussein: at least that was good. About 4,000 American soldiers were killed and "justification" after "justification" after "justification" after "justification" was shown to be specious. Called "America's greatest foreign policy blunder."
