(Abbreviation) Customer Replaceable Unit Monitor. A computer chip inside a copier or printer toner cartridge that tracks the quantity of toner remaining.Usage: Feedback from the CRUM chip is used to estimate the number of copies remaining before the toner cartridge must be replaced.
