Definitions
(Noun) Something added to the end of a word; a postfix.Usage: The suffix "-ing" can be added to verbs to form a gerund, such as "coloring" from "color."
(Noun) Generally a 1-syllable addition on the end of a word. It melds with the word, there isn't a hyphen.
Usage: The suffix -al can be added to a noun, if one wishes to adjectivize it. ex. physical.
