shrinkflation
Definition
A strategy employed by companies where the size or quantity of a product is reduced while maintaining its price. In other words, it refers to the practice of reducing the size or content of a product without a corresponding decrease in its price, resulting in consumers paying the same amount for less.Usage: Recently, I noticed that my favorite brand of potato chips engaged in shrinkflation by reducing the size of their bags while charging the same price.
