(Noun) (used mainly in the plural - the singular form would be sarma, but it is rarely encountered)
A Turkish dish, consisting of a mixture of rice, meat and spices, wrapped or rolled in grape or cabbage leaves - or in various other edible leaves - and boiled; there are recipes which do not include meat.
This dish is widely popular in Romania, too.
