polyphony
Definition
(Noun) multiple melodies played in music like a harmony.Usage: Larry hated polyphonies. But he just couldn't forget that one morning when the sound of his cell phone playing a country song intermingled with his next-door neighbor teaching his wife how to rap, and, on top of that, the buzzing of his alarm which he forgot to turn off. It was the weirdest but most interesting dance mix ever, because, amazingly, it blended together in the most demented harmony.
