Definitions
(Abbreviation) Partimage Is Not GhostUsed to express impatience. Derived from the "ping" some technologies make as they load. Generally much kinder than other phrases such as "Get a move on" or "Hurry up already".
Usage: "Ping," I chimed, to encourage my slow sister.
(Verb) An internet tool used to test particular hosts across an IP network; it is also used as a speed test.
Usage: You can ping to see if a host is reachable
(Noun) A measuring unit commonly used in Taiwan to measure the size of an area, such as the living area of a house.
Usage: The house has 100 ping of livable area. But I am looking for how many square feet is in one ping.
(Verb) To contact a party for the purpose of confirming their availability
Usage: I will ping Sam to see if he is still interested in taking on this work.
