labia minora
Definition
The two smaller, inner lips (minor lips) of the vulva located inside the labia majora; they meet at the top of the vulva to form the clitoral hood (or prepuce of the clitoris); they are not as thick as the labia majora, but they are more sexually sensitive and they swell and change color when the woman reaches a certain level of sexual excitement. Together with the labia majora they protect the vagina, urethra, and clitoris.
