ice age
Definitions
(Noun) an age of ice.(Noun) A millennia-long period of lower temperatures - much lower.
Usage: Unlike the Little Ice Age q.v., when temperatures were lower often only in retrospect, during a full-blown Ice Age glaciers cover what was once tundra, it snows in what was once desert and so on. Can't miss that.
