Definitions
(Verb) accepting the mistakes which are unknowingly or knowingly done(Verb) to cease being angry with another; to reach an understanding
Usage: I forgive you for breaking my pencil.
(Verb) To grant amnesty for past sins; To let past sins or wrongdoings go
Usage: The store owner forgave the thief that stole from his store.
(Verb) To let go of any hard feelings against a wrong done to someone, or to let go of the want for punishment for the person who did it. This doesn't mean saying what they did was ok, it just means you aren't going to hold it against them. And it's not the same thing as doing nothing. It's easy to take revenge, but it's hard to forgive.
Usage: "Jesus forgave me of my sins!"
