Definition
(Adjective) Pertaining to an exonym i.e. an exonym is a name given usually to a person, place or group by a third party. The exonym is usually not recognized or adopted by the so-named group or person.Often used in linguistic contexts whereby the name is given in a non-native form.
Usage: The editor was told to remove the exonymic place names, which were used during the Soviet Russian epoch, replacing them with endemic ones.
