egregious
Definitions
(Adjective) Outstanding/extremely noteworthy or noticeable/terrible/excellent. One of those words that have two opposing meanings. Usually it means "bad, terrible," but often enough it means "excellent."Usage: Top Fordham University students once had degrees cum laude, magna cum laude, summa cum laude - and, highest of all, but optional egregia cum laude. Did that mean "terrible," "perfect attendance" or what? So few opted for it.
