Definition
(Noun) Drek in Slovenian is used as:1. As curse word in low level speech.
2. As a reference to solid human excrement.
3. Metaphorically in low level speech, also in anger, used mostly expressively.
4. Useless material in trade or in construction - mud.
5. Also drekec (small quantity of sth.), esp. mušji drekec means something that you can't see that even through microscope. Used to humiliate someone or his/her achievements, esp. in low level business / political speech.
Usage: 1. "Drek!" = "Shit!"
2. Drek je bil rjav in je smrdel. (Shit was brown and stinked.)
3. Naša firma je v globokem dreku, njen tovornjak pa tudi. (Our firm is in deep shit and the company's truck too.)
4. Beton je bil za en drek. (Concrete was not worth a penny.)
5. Naredili ste za en mušji drekec Vam dodeljenega dela. (You've done a small bit of your assigned work. - very politely translated!)
