cyclopegia
Definition
(Noun) It is the paralysis of the ciliar muscle (spastic paralysis) which causes a relaxation of the suspensory ligaments of the lens and increase its anteroposterior diameter. It is also named as cycloplegia -synonymous.Usage: A drug with muscarinic stimulation effect produces paralysis of accommodation of the lens leading to cyclopegia.
