Definition
1. An orgiastic or erotic show, straight or a little kinky, performed not for the pleasure of the participants, but for the entertainment of a paying audience.Etymology: From K. S. Daly. Sex. An Encyclopedia for the Bewildered (1995): ' Among the many kinds of sex shows to be seen in 1930s Paris were the cirques erotiques. These were shows in which naked women cycled around on bicycles while spectators placed bets on which cyclist would first reach orgasm as a result of her gyrations on the saddle.' Synonym: sex show.
2. Or: The Circus , in London, short for Piccadilly Circus, a favorite cruising area by male homosexuals and male prostitues. Synonym: The Dilly.
