cherry-pick

Definition

cherry-pick rate
(Verb) To adduce only evidence/examples that support (or don't support) your point of view.
Usage: Dick Cheney was often said to cherry-pick evidence that supported his public position that America was winning in Iraq (hell, he probably believed it) - whereas he was sitting atop one of the greatest American foreign-policy blunders in the postwar period.
