avant-garde
Definitions
(Adjective) A person, thing, or organization at the forefront of anything online. Creating new concepts or applications that improve upon the internet in some way, or someone in said concept that is in the forefront of it.Usage: Guilds on world of warcraft are avant-garde organizations for the way they function on the internet. Napster was an avant-garde idea.
(Noun) A bunch of experimental artists who usually are pushing the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm by rejecting the "institution of art" and challenging social and artistic values
Usage: Stockhausen and Nietzkov are my favorite avant-garde composers.
