apotemnophilia

Definition

Person erotically aroused from having a body part amputated, either by themselves or somebody else, by the memory of that amputation, or by the fantasy of being or becoming an amputee which may be accompanied by obsessional scheming to carry out an amputation or to obtain that surgery. Apotemnophilia is a paraphilia of the stigmatic/eligibilic type. The reciprocal paraphilic condition in which the partner is the amputee is acrotomophilia.
Etymology: From the Greek apo , away from, temnein , to cut, and philia , attachment.
