A form of cannibalism in which sexual pleasure is derived from the ingestion of human flesh, especially from eating the genital parts of a person of the opposite sex. Varieties of anthropophagy are autophagy, necrophagy and parthenophagy. Jack the Ripper was suspected of anthropophagy because he often carried away the female organs of his victims.

Etymology: anthropos , man, and phagein or phagy , the practice of eating.
