Pseudopodium
Definition
(Noun) A temporary protrusion or retractile process of the cytoplasm of a cell that functions (as in an amoeba) especially in a locomotor or food gathering capacity.Usage: A phagocytic cell uses a pseudopod to bring food into its cell membrane.
