Partigeniture
Definition
(Noun) The system of inheritance by which the legitimate offspring received equal shares of the wealth and property of the parents; as opposed to primogeniture where the eldest heir inherited all.Usage: Norman land tenure in East Kent, unlike the rest of Egland, was based on partigeniture.
