Definition
(Noun) Stands for phenylketonuria. A disease where your liver cannot break down proteins correctly. It usually leads to mental retardation, and other negative factors. Most kids born in the U.S. are tested for it as an infant so they can be given a special diet to prevent mental retardation later in life.Usage: This morning my brother was diagnosed with PKU, so now he has a special diet.
