Obsignation
Definition
Confirmation or sealing by an act of covenant obligation. For example, John Owen says about the Lord's Table that Christ is present by obsignation: "he (Christ) comes and seals the covenant with his own blood in the administration of this ordinance" (see Works, IX: 574)--D. Cummings (02/09/08)
