Bush as he proclaimed that America had achieved victory in Iraq after just a few weeks of combat operations. The Iraqis shifted to guerrilla warfare, the War continued for years, almost 4,000 American troops were killed ... . But, hey, today Iraq stands as a "shining beacon of freedom in the Middle East" just like the Bush White House promised.
