MFC-R2
Definition
(Abbreviation) MFC-R2(multi frequency code) is an in-band signalling protocol between telcommunication nodes, that uses combinations of frequencies to convey information. Duringcall set-up the MFC-R2 signalling protocol uses multi-frequency coding by means of analog 4-wire
lines for the transmission of source and destination numbers along with priority and status information
concerning the called party.
MFC is similar to dual tone multifrequency(DTMF).
