Kotokoli

Definition

(Noun) It is an ethnic group originally called Tem. They are believed to have migrated from around the present day Chad and settled in present Sokode in Togo where some of them further migrated to Kue in the Volta North of Ghana. Now Kotokolis are found almost everywhere in Ghana but still maintain Kue as their traditional home. They are also found in Benin Republic, and Nigeria. Kotokoli is one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa They are predominantly farmers, commercial vehicular drivers, and traders.
