JITT
Definition
(Abbreviation) Just-In-Time-Training (JITT). A method of providing medical training when it is needed, and is intended to actually train a user in a specific new task or to reinforce a previously learned task. JITT, in this case, is not designed to provide impromptu formalized courses, hybrid courses based upon mixtures of formal courses, or abbreviated presentations of formal courses. Actual subject matter that would be inclusive of the JITT designation includes presentation of new medical treatment modalities, biomedical equipment or pharmaceutical agents, regulatory guidance on medical treatment or patient processing, and disease or injury prevalence information.Usage: The Department of Defense has just published a memorandum requiring that all services will cover the new hemostatic dressing as part of their JITT before deploying.
