Intramedullary Osteosclerosis

Definition

Intramedullary Osteosclerosis rate
(Noun) Intra - meaning inside, medullary - long canal;
Osteo - meaning bone, sclerosis - condition

A rare bone condition for which a cure is not known due to the fact that the cause is a mystery.
It is an extremely painful condidition where the long bone canals fill with more bone material, smashing the open nerve endings such as inside the tibia, therefore causing great pain.
To temporarily relieve this painful condition, drilling out of the bone gives relief from the pain. Most often, this procedure is successful in the reduction of pain. However sometimes it is short lived as the production of the excess bone is only temporarily stopped.
