Hungryalism

Hungryalism rate
(Noun) Hungryalism is the name of a literary movement in Bengali literature of India (1961-1965) in which about 40 poets, fiction writers, dramatists and artists had participated. The word is derived from Geoffrey Chaucer's line 'In The Sowre Hungry Tyme'. It was started by Malay Roychoudhury, Samir Roychoudhury, Shakti Chattopadhyay and Debi Ray.
Usage: Hungryalism is the only post-colonial movement in West Bengal, India, which changed Bengali literature once for all.
