Dreadlocks
Definition
Dreadlocks, Locks or Dreads, are a type of hairstyle that can be worn by any person, regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, or hair type. There is more than one way to create dreadlocks. One way is to let your hair go naturally, by not using shampoo with the chemical SLS (harmful to children's eyes, and is found in a lot of shampoos) and without combing your hair. This is the best way to lock up your hair because your dreads will form naturally to you. Another way to create dreadlocks is to divide your hair up into sections and back-comb your hair until you have nothing but different puffs of "teased" hair, and then palm roll each lock into formation. Some people use wax, but that is very bad for your hair, and should not be used. It is bad for your hair because it gets inside the lock and deteriorates the lock from inside. It's best to let them form naturally, so they will be suitable for your face, and will therefore not look "factory made."Usage: "Your dreadlocks are very long!"
