Definition
(Noun) a large group of bacteria inhabiting the intestinal tract of humans and animals that may cause disease and whose presence in water is an indicator of fecal pollutionUsage: They found that 70 percent of beverages sampled tested positive for some form of bacteria, and 48 percent tested positive for coliform bacteria.
