Charlotte Collins (maiden name: Lucas) is a character in Jane Austens (1775-1817) novel, Pride and Prejudice (1813).
She is a close friend of the main character, Miss Elizabeth Bennet, however their friendship changes when Charlotte decides to marry without love.
Her choice is the boring Mr. Collins who seems desperate to marry (he already proposed to Miss Elizabeth who denied him).
