anchors aweigh
Definitions
(Verb) (nautical jargon) to lift a ship's anchor(s) from the seabed so the ship can get underway. Also, the title of the U.S. Navy anthem.Usage: The ship fully prepared to head out to sea, "Anchors aweigh!" was called out by the Captain.
Apparently, "Anchors Aweigh" is the fight song of the US Naval Academy - and to me, it always seemed too lighthearted to be an official anthem.
