Definitions
(Abbreviation) Army Film Production Unit(Abbreviation) Army Film & Photographic Unit. This a unit within the British Army in World War Two formed of volunteers from the ranks who were trained as both stills and cine cameraman. Their purpose was to accompany British Army units in combat and photograph their exploits. Some of the most memorable pictures of World War Two were captured by these guys.
Usage: Members of the AFPU were distributed amongst the assault units on D-Day.
